“Our Fallen Heroes” banner display project began in 2008. I worked in collaboration with several Gold Star Mothers to come up with the design that would memorialize the lives their sons had sacrificed in service to the United States.
A few banners at a time were unveiled twice a year at special flag ceremonies. For each ceremony, we created a poster with the date and time and a program booklet. We also created Certificates of Appreciation for the companies who sponsored the individual banners.
Eventually a total of 22 banners hung for many years at Prospect Hill Cemetery in York, PA.
